Venue
This year DWSAN4CIP workshop is hosted by CENTRO DE ELECTRÓNICA INDUSTRIAL at UNIVERSIDAD
POLITÉCNICA DE MADRID.
The Workshop will be held at ‘Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros
Industriales’, at José Gutierrez Abascal Street, close to Castellana Avenue.
(There is a nice park in between).
The Castellana Avenue is the main north-south connection of Madrid.
The building is quite easy to recognize, since it has a brilliant dome
that can be distinguished from behind the tress of the park. It is also easy to
reach if you follow the indications for the Natural Science Museum, because we
are sharing the building.
Travel
From the airport, there is an excellent connection by metro. Either from Terminal 4 or Terminals 1, 2 and 3 you can take the metro line 8, which takes you straight to ‘Nuevos Ministerios’ stop, which is around 300 meters from the ETSI Industriales. The best exit at Nuevos Ministerios is the one that can be reached by crossing the check-in desks hall. When you reach the street, go down the street around 200 meters, and you will find the ETSI Industriales on the left. Metro tickets can be bought one by one, at 1€, or in 10 trip tickets, which are 7,40€. Arriving or leaving at the airport stations has a 1€ extra fee (suplemento), which can be paid at the airport station.
Taxis are also available, and prices should be from 30 to 40 €, depending on traffic jams and the terminal you arrive.
Other metro stationsnearby ETSI Industriales, apart from ‘Nuevos Ministerios’ are ‘Gregorio Marañon’ (this is the closest, 150 meters), ‘República Argentina’ and ‘Alonso Cano’ (this one is the closest for hotel bretón).
You can reach the ETSI Industriales also by bus, with lines 7, 12, 14, 27, 40, 45, 147, 150, and 250.

are at a walking distance to the ETSI Industriales, too. Both hotels are at the
